WELCOME TO B&H BUILDINGS

The entire building can be yours for the day, making it the perfect London wedding venue, featuring six distinct areas. We can host up to 110 guests for dinner or 180 guests for a reception, with all spaces boasting carefully curated interiors, lush hanging baskets and numerous windows to allow for an abundance of natural light. Each space is already romantically decorated for the occasion.

You can tailor the set-up of your day to use our stunning ground floor restaurant and bar, our bright and spacious first floor Studios, along with our hidden basement nightclub, Below & Hidden. With versatile event spaces, we can accommodate a variety of wedding styles, from intimate ceremonies to grand receptions.

THE STUDIO

B&H Studios is the perfect space for your ceremony. A beautiful open and light space with sash windows looking out onto the leafy park beyond, it’s the ideal setting for a serenely beautiful ceremony right in the heart of London.

THE BAR

The Bar at B&H Buildings opens onto the street and the leafy park beyond via huge windows and glass doors. Comfy couches and armchairs create natural areas for drinks parties, with a grand stone fireplace with roaring fires in the wintertime.

Capacity for 120 standing The Bar is ideal for a welcome drinks reception before heading into dinner. After dinner, The Bar is a great space for a live band, cake cutting, DJs and dancing.

THE RESTAURANT

The Restaurant is made up of two interconnecting iconic spaces. The Garden Room and The Greenhouse have a capacity of up to 80 people seated or 100 standing. 

Capturing the impression of an abandoned country house, where the gardens and state rooms have slowly grown into one another and gone to seed, the interiors mix soft furnishings with cane garden furniture and wrought iron benches, the whole space is filled with hanging baskets, fully grown trees, and trailing creepers. This effectively brings the outside in and offers a relaxed and charming dining experience.

BELOW & HIDDEN

You can keep the party going until 1 am, or later on request.

No bigger than an average living room, and designed to feel like the dark, cool and moody alter ego to its light and airy sister venue upstairs, Below & Hidden offers a secret drinking and dancing den in Clerkenwell for discerning night owls. As the night unfolds, the luxurious tapestry-covered walls reveal floor-to-ceiling LED light panels, illuminating the beat. It is a place for when you don’t feel like winding down the night just yet.

WEDDING VENUE FAQS

  • We can host up to 110 guests for a seated dinner and 180 for a standing reception. With six versatile spaces, the venue works equally well for intimate ceremonies and large celebrations.

  • Yes, the entire building can be exclusively yours for the day. This includes all six areas, the Studio, Bar, Restaurant (Garden Room and Greenhouse), and Below & Hidden, giving you complete flexibility to design your day.

  • Our bright and spacious Studio is ideal for ceremonies. At present we can host humanist ceremonies, and we’re working toward a licence for legal ceremonies in the future.

    • The Studio: Bright and spacious, perfect for ceremonies (up to 110 guests).

    • The Bar: Ideal for drinks receptions or after-dinner music and dancing (up to 120 standing).

    • The Restaurant (Garden Room & Greenhouse): A relaxed, plant-filled setting for dining (up to 80 seated).

    • Below & Hidden: A secret underground bar for late-night dancing.

  • With its greenhouse-style restaurant, light-filled Studio, stylish cocktail bar and hidden basement club, B&H Buildings gives you a variety of backdrops all under one roof. The interiors are already beautifully styled with greenery, vintage furniture and natural light, so the venue needs very little extra decoration.

  • Our licence runs until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays (12am for the Studio). Below & Hidden, our basement bar, is perfect for keeping the party going into the night.

  • We have limited on-site bays available at £20 per day, plus on-street pay and display parking. The venue is also just a short walk from Farringdon, Angel and Kings Cross stations.
